Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, a businessman, assumed the role of new Prime Minister of Haiti, replacing Garry Conille. Fils-Aimé expressed his rejection of social inequalities and political divisions, advocating for joint efforts and accountability. He promised to emphasize economic recovery, supporting sectors such as agriculture, trade, and infrastructure with state backing. He underscored the importance of security to achieve these goals.

Leslie Voltaire, president of the Presidential Council of Transition, stressed the urgency of acting quickly and in accordance with the law to strengthen republican institutions. He emphasized the need to establish security conditions to properly organize the constitutional referendum and elections before the end of 2025.

The inauguration ceremony took place shortly after the dismissal of Garry Conille as Prime Minister. High-ranking officials from the National Police and Armed Forces, political representatives, and members of civil society attended, as well as delegates from multinational forces present in Haiti.
